Unfortunately, some of these less-busy appreciation threads have gone dormant.

If DB is willing to pass the torch, all it takes is someone who’s eager to repost and maintain the membership list to keep it alive…it’s been done before!

Heck, I’d like to get a number…

…1980, if is still unclaimed.
I guess all we can do is PM/email him. Give it a couple of weeks and see if we get a reply. If not, he may be MIA (hope all is OK) and maybe we create a new thread and bring the data over.

Or possibly a mod could come in and do something like that for us.

As a brand new member I can't PM yet so if a more senior member could it would help.

Thoughts guys?
I don’t mind reaching out to DBASR.

I’ve done this before and it is better (cleaner) than starting a new thread. That’s how I picked up the 243 registry.

I’ll keep y’all posted.

Just reconnecting with y'all on this...

Last Saturday I reached out to DBSAR via both the forum PM and email feature. This is what I sent:
Hi there. I hope things are going ok.

I’m reaching out about the BernzO appreciation thread since I believe you were last managing it. Some folks have posted over the past months in hopes of getting a number, myself included.

We noticed you haven’t been as active here on the CCF and that the registry has not been updated in a bit. Is this something you would prefer to continue managing or would you consider passing the torch?

I have picked up the 243 registry from Dana (JustOneMore) and I’ve been keeping it current. It wouldn’t take much to pick up this one too, if you didn’t mind, of course.

Let me know what you think, or if you have time please stop in and post some more!!

I will send a copy of this to your CCF email as well.

Take care,
L.J.
I have not received a response and the PM is still in my outbox. If anyone personally knows DBSAR, would you consider reaching out to see if all is well?

Moving forward, what are your thoughts on me updating the membership list and keeping this thread current--even if it is just in the interim?

I'm just trying to be transparent and if a moderator has any input one way or another, please let me know!

Ok folks. I took the last updated list in post #290 and re-worked it a little bit.

It is now in order with respect to member number. In doing this I found a few duplicates--some members have two different numbers and then some numbers were used twice. I'm not doing anything to straighten that out--it is what it is...

There are a bunch of skipped numbers so, moving forward, unless you request a specific number, I plan to fill in the missing ones as we go along. I will post the new updated list shortly.

Alrighty, let's get a few rolling here:

Welp... i been waiting to hear the destiny of this thread, to take a family photo of all my Bernzo's.
However, it seems all my folding tables are/have been on yard sale duty for the past week/next week :(

So here's my go-to 750 in the mean time:

I guess #076 is next in line? Sounds good to me if it is..
Thanx for reviving this, L.J.

Picked up a couple more BOM TX-750 lanterns from eBay.

I haven't seen too may of the blue version, so that one was fun to get, and it's in really great shape.

Does anyone have a source for the little washers that sit between the swing handle and the body? There's also one under the top nut. Seems as a lot of those go missing over time and would be great to replace them.

Also picked up a green version...the green one was cheaper, but not in as good of condition. Unfortunately as you can see, the seller didn't protect the globe at all and it broke in shipping. Filed a claim, but it was to only return, when all I wanted was a partial refund, so I cancelled that - I'll keep it and replace the glass.

So, I'm in need a globe, if anyone knows if there's an aftermarket/alternative version out there that fits the TX-750, or has any spares for sale I'd be interested. They seem to be rare, so I might just need to wait for something cheap to pop up here or on eBay again.

Anyone ever seen, or have, this mount accessory for a TX-750? :P

Stone, that's cool--I've only seen the 220/8 type clamp/mount.

IDK if that could be meant for something different & modified, or *specifically* for the -750.. vOv
Cant read the embossing on it, even when blowing up the pic :P

Now that you mention it, the back-side does have a radius to it...

Here you go…

Boxed TX-900A Propane Heater that’s like new (maybe it is?) with two full TX-9 tall thin fuel tanks. And if I can get #77 that would be great!

That is awesome!!

Over the weekend I cleaned up the blue TX-750 I picked up. Disassembled, blew a couple of spiders out of the burner tube, polished the brass and cleaned it up with some compound. A new 21A mantle...hooked up a propane tank and it fired right up!

Edit: also M6 washers work well on the TX-750, there's one washer between the handle->body on each side, and one washer between the knob and deflector plate. They are a bit thicker than the original (aluminum I believe) but look and work nicely.

Trout,

Don't try to use the heater. They were recalled due to several deaths due to CO poisoning. I have turned two of them in for the $250.00 bounty, I have another in my collection. That one is too nice to turn in unless you really need $250 !

I’m well aware of the $250 Bounty on these things. I found it for sale in a building reuse place in a lockup cage. I was afraid someone else would buy it and use it. I paid more that I would care to admit for it to get it out of public circulation. It’s a showpiece for sure with the condition it’s in.
