Where are the pictures of the ICCC convention?

#1

Post by Erwin »

Hi folks.
I assume there were several of you at the ICCC convention in Ohio.
Nobody took pictures? I'd like to see how it was and what was on.
Thanks, Erwin.

Kevin,
it seems you were quite successful. Great parts and a beautiful shade! :cf_bravo:

I'm not on Facebook but I found some pictures in another forum. :cf_yes:
I'd have very much liked to see Ed Erb's (new?) Coleman museum.

I hope someone will upload some more pictures to let the non-present folks drool and see what we missed. :cf_wowoh:

Was there the usual auction with the professional auctioneer?
Well, perhaps it was good I wasn't there..... :cf_absolutely:

Thanks, Erwin.

I have a ton of pictures from Ed's museum. It'll take me a while to resize them and post them. I spent more time talking with the other collectors than getting pictures of the convention itself. Yes, they still did the auction at the end. Ron Stricker was the auctioneer.

I was like Rob I was pretty busy at the convention and campground and never thought to take pics.
Ed’s Museum is just amazing and I know several people were taking videos that they will be posting.
It seems like the bigger your collection gets the less you drag home, mainly just parts and accessories.
I did bring home a repop shade for my vase lamp from Ed Erb, a miniature 316 Arc, a crown for my No 27 Coleman HW light project that looks like it will work well, a pump for my HW project that according to Terry’s site is a Gloria pump, a couple of 1 liter Canadian fuel cans that I didn’t have to add to my 1 quart collection and the new shade book.

I don’t know why but no matter how you attach pics here they always turn out backwards! 😩

I was hoping that you would find a mini 316 while you were there Greg. I was keeping an eye out for you as well. That shade does look nice on your vase lamp.

Ironically Dean was bidding on that mini 316 for me at the last auction that I didn’t win 😩 and Dean spotted this one at the convention for $15 dollars less than my high bid at the auction 🤣

I'll post my favs in a bit - here is a link to Flickr Photos -

Please Note

- Early photos show cameras new trick - it wants to take videos - finally got it to stop. They were not intended to be "artistic". Sorry

- Early pics are "Age of Steam" $30 million NEW roundhouse and depot (private donations). Across road from Ed Erbs, and worth the visit in and of itself

- Pics of some displays, wish I had been organized enough to do that! And pics of other items

- Nice 8s video of the walk-about worth watching

- Pics of the general light-up Thursday Evening

Wow Mike. Well done. I missed that OXO double burner stove. Where was that?
Also missed the water heater at Eds. I have one with everything but the burner. Non Coleman model though. Always been curious about those.

Which stove is that (OXO)? I have two water heaters in COVID jail in OKC at cousins house. Long story there. Believe I read Coleman provided the burner, the rest was by others

Good to see you, and the donut lamp moved on with someone not me, whew!

The OXO is the two burner stove with lil ceramic burner caps and a big cylindrical tank below. Its in your light up pics as well as in the convention.
Any idea the buyer of the donut? It was tempting but I’m glad to see it go to someone else. I Hope they can figure out a proper shade for it.
Do you know if the seller (Brad) is active here?

That stove was right across the aisle from me. I talked to him (Tom H?) at the light up. He said he has had it for 40 years, and lights it every once in a while. He got a lot of attention that evening!

Hi all.
Thanks for posting your pictures. Please post more if you have. :)
It seems it was another great convention and probably many of us regret we weren't able to join in.
Was there a business meeting also? Any elections and new positions?
Any pictures of the proud hosts? 8-)
How about the locations for the next conventions?
Sorry for my many questions but I'm so curious.
Thanks, Erwin.
