Fount splash guard
After spilling fuel on a freshly painted fount, I made a splash guard from a plastic jug. Just free handed it, cut to fit, with a 13/16" hole for the gas cap spout. Better to go a little on the small side and force it on rather than have a sloppy fit that will allow any spillage to get on the fount. I put a little bend to it as well to control any drips. Don't worry about getting older. You're still gonna do dumb stuff, only slower.
