Drove past a yard sale last night closing up.  stopped and took a look saw this poor thing sitting in the back in the garage on a shelf all covered in dust and dirt. I asked if it was for sale and they said it was mine for 15 bucks. it's a 7 of 62 200a in cherry red one chip on the vent otherwise in great condition. Arched red pyrex globe. new fuel cap gasket overnight soak for the pump cup and fired right up. Can't pass up a 200 at all.

Very nice.  There was only one yard sale in town yesterday, it had a 425B for $10, hope I can pass it along at a campout.
I don't care for a second one.

Sweet! I've yet to find a Cherry to fill out the color palette!

Was the brass washer on the vent stud there, or is it yours?
It's priceless until someone puts a price on it.

It's copper and I install them on all my lanterns. It helps protect the vents.

Just asking as I do the same--but I use brass. I don't have any proof, but from the number of vents with the mounting hole rotted out, it makes sense to me to keep the flow of hot gasses away from there.

same reason I do it. Frank Bebb is the one who told me about that.  I also use brass but I get the copper for free. they are the sealing washers for diesel fuel injectors so I'm practically swimming in them.

Score!

Nice.  Very nice.  Good idea on the vent nut washer as well.  I'll have to try that.

Have been doing the washer trick for 20 years. bear in mind 242s having larger stud you'll need a larger diameter washer otherwise all the same on the rest of them

hmmm the washer...brass or copper to dissipate heat?  or soft metal between hot enamel and ball nut?  GH mentions hot gasses; I am trying to imagine hot gasses sneaking past a washer
