Need some id help on this one. Seen it on cl and it’s being represented as a WW2 stove. I’m not familiar with these types of stoves yet.
1: is it Coleman?
2: is it WW2 era?
3: are they hard to find and/or rare?
4: what is the correct name/model?
Thanks for any information you all may have. There’s more pictures I can add later. Haven’t been to check it out yet. Hoping it’s still available when I can go check it out next month 🙏🏻 Click image for larger version - Name: 42A35644-CA38-489C-B57E-0B9EA087C25D.png, Views: 282, Size: 2.64 MB

Didn’t see anything other than this that looks similar. Says 1945 AGM medical sterilizing two burner stove for the military. The tank on the AGM matches the standard olive drab color of the U.S. military. The one on cl looks like the standard Coleman green. Didn’t see a stove similar to the one on cl on TMLGallery under Coleman stoves. Click image for larger version - Name: 5AD5EC68-C1EA-4DD8-85F6-96B4F649489E.jpeg, Views: 255, Size: 275.63 KB

Early 50’s wouldn’t classify as WW2 era would it? Thanks for the link 👍🏻

It's military, but as far as WWII don't know unless you can find a date, might be a WWII design and Coleman got the contract to produce in the 50's. maybe AGM was first to produce as the other comment shows very similar design, kinda like there are different manufacture's of the mil-spec lantern.

Very cool find. It looks to be in great shape.

I believe the WW2 model 523's usually were date stamped on the tank band. I think they produced 1943 AND 1944, however the 1943 is more scarce. I would agree with this stove being from the 50's

The only way to know for sure is look at the date on the stove. The military designation is Stove, Model 1942 Two-burner. Coleman called their model 523. Made by Coleman and AGM during WWII and by a bunch of others afterwards.

yes look for a close-up of the maker's name and year and you will know the military historic era that it was made for.

though that pic IS a NICE example of one

Being unfired, that would make a nice display if you have the room.

From the information gathered, I’ll invest in a trip to look and possibly purchase it. Hopefully it’s still available in the next couple of weeks 🙏🏻

Someone beat me to it as it isn’t listed anymore. Don’t know if whoever it was just didn’t relist it or if it sold.
