Picked up this Feuerhand SuperBaby 175 some time back for a $7 bill.  Was originally red, but only the fount and about an inch of each air tube still had paint left.  Appeared to be in good shape, except the globe was missing. Just some very light surface rust on the burner and the wick was unused. Put it in the etank and then repainted.  Found out quick that correct globes are $$$, but W.T. Kirkmans has an unmarked one that fits and listed as V&O.

That's an awesome job, those little lanterns are great!

Where did you find the hammered blue paint? I've been looking for it and red and seems like its order only and gets pricey fast.

I've since straightened the top cap. #0 funnel for scale.
It's priceless until someone puts a price on it.

Found the paint at Menards in Poplar Bluff, MO, while visiting the in-laws.  Bought it to repaint a big hat Higgins.  It is close to the Higgins blue, but seems a little lighter or maybe a hair more 'silvery' than Higgins blue.  It's called Hammered Light Blue.

I can play - I got these at a yard sale for $10 for the pair - The burners are French - Gaudard, and the founts were made in England....While they need dusting (I just pulled them off the top of 5X5 IKEA record storage units), these are top quality,  no tinny parts, the founts are either spun or machined.  you could make a GPA out of one...  I had to replace one of the chimneys a few years back (darn cat,,,)  and even that was $20!

The round wicks are not made round - they are flat wicks simply cured around, and finish about 1/2' diameter.

Lots of light for such an little thing! Two of my Favorite Wikies!

Oops forgot the pic!

I was kind of shocked to see the hammered blue paint! I have a Wilton 4in Vise that I restored and I contacted Wilton and they gave me the paint number. The can that you have pictured is the hammered blue paint that Wilton uses for their vises. They still use the same blue today if you go to the Wilton website. Pretty cool. This is an Amazon purchase if you need a can. That is where I got mine.
Not looking for anything. I have too much already, my wife says.
