My favorites aren't anything overly desirable to most. They are family GPAs though, so to me that makes them the most special pieces in my collection. I hate to think of it, but if I had to get rid of everything else I'd keep these.

My Dad's 8-'75 228H

IMG_5811.jpg

It always went camping with us when I was younger and having it keeps those great memories of our old camp alive. It also bounced along on my ATV all around the trails of our old stomping grounds; we had several back-woods campsites (party spots ÃƒÂ°Ã…¸ËœÂ) during my teenage years. I have no idea how the globe never broke.

And his parents O-64 425D

Some stoves snuck into the mix so I figured I'd hop on the wagon. I rescued the 425D a hand-full of years ago from my grandparents' attic. Their house was being sold and my Dad was planning to throw it away otherwise. It was tucked away in the original box and hadn't been used since the late 60's. Now I just take it out for special occasions.

425D is one of my favorites too. Mine is a 5/66. I can see why yours only gets special use.

5/66 man. I keep getting reminded how disappointing my dads bday lantern was. Atleast it’s going to a good purpose.
My friends don’t call me “Lantern/lampie Levi”
for nothin’,if they did call me that.

Looking for bday lanterns 8/38, 8/41,
10/25, and 8/07

My most expensive lantern. It was missing the collar and globe base. The fount had about a dozen cracks in it. Friends here got me the parts to fix 'er up, but there's no way I can call it an original Arc. The fount is a Canadian CQ, the collar may be from an IL or NL. But it burns and makes a lot of heat!

This:

makes it doubtful that it's even a Coleman to begin with.
It's priceless until someone puts a price on it.

No. it's hot!

Largely, I think because of this chimney:

Which probably was meant to keep the heat off the plain glass globe. It's easy to light a cigarette in the vent.

Like a lot of you they are all favorites but these 1926 external pumps do have a look that I like.

@Gunhippie that right there is some stupid trash I’d do with an arc. Let’s be honest, burning stuff is fun until something goes wrong😅

Well, I posted a lantern yesterday and the post disappeared.
Here it is AGAIN, a Vapalux M320, a kero burner from England.

Not Coleman collectors favorite lantern but Steve’s favorite lantern!  You didn’t ask what was our favorite Coleman lantern.  😁
That’s a nice one, Steve!

Yes, I did and yes it is.  Off hand, I can think of approximately 8-10 Steves that hang out here.

This is my favorite/only euro lantern. I can’t fire it because I screw up and stripped out the gen nut (it was literally the first lantern or even thing with nuts and bolts that I took apart, and with no help I might add. I was quite proud) and since you can replace the gen nut you have to buy a new gen and I wasn’t about the spend 50$ on a generator and wait 3 months for it to ship across the world. Same with the globe.     B271303D-DE91-4630-AA3F-568744C653CE.jpeg
