I finally got to go camping two or three weeks ago. was able to go for 3 days. Got some pictures of where I was at up in the Chiricahua mountains of Southeast Arizona. A place called Barfoot Park.  in the pictures you can see the burned-out trees and areas from the Horseshoe 2 Fire from years ago. The wind picked up pretty good one night blew some of the standing dead trees down and one live one.
Missed my campsite by about 10 ft got some money shots of my 200a's burning a 228e and a 228d that I had just gotten going. All in all a very nice time. Also a shot of chicken fajitas cooking on the 413g

Great looking spot To spend some time. I seen blue paint  on some trees are they going to cut some of the dead trees out?

Nice that you were able to get out and enjoy what looks to be total isolation!  Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for sharing.  I was up in north eastern Idaho last summer in the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness, could see a big swath where a fire had gone thru years ago.

Where I come from in Northern Nevada the blue mark on the trees is The Mark of Death.  Those trees were alive the standing dead trees they didn't mark. I don't know what's going on. Yes total isolation wasn't anybody near me within 3 miles.

What awesome pics, thanks for posting.

Mind if I ask what spices you use for fajitas?  I'd love to make some, but something more authentic than store bought pre-made.

Looks like you found a pretty nice spot. Those pics are great. Thank goodness the trees that came down missed you though!

I buy the fajitas from a Mexican Ranch Market here. I know it has orange in it but honestly couldn't tell you what was in the mix. They make the fajitas up themselves and you cook them. But this place has some of the best food I've ever eaten.
They have a mango/chipotle chicken that is great. My wife loves it. I forgot to say that i was at 8400 feet altitude. Easily 10 to 15 degrees cooler than the valley floor at 4500 feet.
