Local seller on Facebook marketplace had 3 Coleman camp stoves for sale - all with issues, but issues I can work with.

A model 414 - missing the tank.  But rusty, not overall, not bad.  Will see if I can find a tank.
A model 421 - with the (in)famous Easi-Lite valve - he said it leaks when the pressure is high. Sounds about right - but I have a way of dealing with that that I figured out with my 3-burner.
A propane (I know, I know) 5427A701 (Canadian) *with* the regulator hose and bulk tank adapter - bit of an issue with the 3rd burner - I suspect spider next in the tube or something pretty simple. It's in very good shape.

He's 70, selling from his father's accumulation (passed away at 98) - apparently he did the lanterns last year - sold them as a lot...darn.

Was $40 (Canadian) for the the 3 combined.

I'll have to get some pics.  Really didn't *need* any of them - but I *like* the 5427 series stoves...too bad they aren't that common with their regulator hoses.

The 414 is a rare prize too. Too bad the tank is missing.

Having looked over it - from a *restoration* point of view- it's one of the better ones.  2 screws hold on the lid *and* the grill, the lid support bar comes off easily, aside from the burners/manifold, the side-panel supports, and the spring steel foot locks, the case is all one colour.  It has fewer parts, the rounded corners are easier to clean out properly, etc.  I'll be doing my best to find a tank, I think I'll like this one, though I'm still tempted to do it as a custom paint job, just because almost nobody seems to have a heat-resistant green paint that's *glossy*.  I'll see what I decide when I find a tank.
