A new site for the 2020 Columbia River gathering of PNW Chapter on July 18 has been secured. Formerly in Kalama Washington, at the home of Old Coleman Parts, the gathering has moved about 14 miles north to Hudson-Parcher County Park, a campground of Columbia County, Oregon, a few miles west of Longview off Highway 30.
Reserved for the gathering is a covered picnic area for the group, and there are several RV and tent sites nearby for individuals to reserve on their own. Columbia County Parks Department has set aside, near this covered picnic site, over a dozen tent sites and several RV sites with electric and water hook ups. These sites are normally reserved only through the Reserve America online reservation system, but the County has pulled these sites for sixty days to allow our members to make reservations directly with the County. Any unused sites will be put back into the reservation system for public consumption about November 1. Reserving with the county will save the $8 transaction fee charged by Reserve America. One may still reserve after November 1, through Reserve America, providing sites are available.
The campground has good shade, level sites, a shower house, restrooms, a camp host selling firewood, playgrounds for kiddies, is pet friendly, and an RV dump for park guests. If an RV site with full hook ups is desired there will be some available, just not in the area set aside for us, but very close.
Message me with your email address and I'll send you full info on reserving.
