Thought maybe the pip was stuck or the spring too stiff on one of my NL lanterns.  Can't add much if any air.  Heated the fount up to pressurize it, but no results yet, can't use my Schrader valve cap to pressurize the fount.  Screwed?

Couple diff ideas on how to fix those, I pulled valve, fill font and pump tube up to brim with couple diff chemicals on a 3016 a few years ago, finally aimed a torch down at bottom of pump tube then push pump HARD and whatever let loose. Good luck

Just remembered, this is the one I applied Caswell to, but I ran it the next day.

Played with it some more.  Was able to suck air thru, so believe it was the pip, made from material that isn't fuel resistant as this is the second I have noticed has swelled up.  If more issues, I'll use one from The Fettlebox.  Don't believe the supplier uses proper rubber.

if  the safety tube is plugged with congealed pump lube, filling the fount with boiling water will melt it out.

Figured it out the other day, see above post.  Second new pip in a Coleman I have had trouble with.  They swell up and dont move like they should.  Act like the NRV/CV are stuck or plugged or too stiff a spring.
