A member asked if a new Topic could be started named "Unfired". This is so when members are restoring their lanterns, we would know how the originals looked regarding color, clocking, etc.

As we try to keep the Categories to a minimum, we would like anyone with an unfired lantern to post pics of it in this thread as nothing in Collections: Restored Pieces and Before & After Projects ever get deleted.

If the thread gets real heavy, it can be moved the the Technical Assistance Archive.

Thank you for your participation.

Could anyone with unfired lanterns please take a photo of the pack of mantles that comes with it as well? Trying to narrow down when some packs were produced. More so the cellophane packs.

Here’s my unfired 11/70 200a found just over a week ago. Even had the mantle pack with just 1 mantle.

I emphasize posting what mantles come with your unfired lanterns because even my find surprised me. It proved to me that the 220E design cellophane pack of mantles was actually used into the early 70’s. It can truly help pinpoint dating the packs. This thread could become a great resource.

Coleman in Wichita made the popular 425 series beginning in the late 1940’s.
These Model 425 (upper) and 425B (lower) stoves are undated.
Coleman used the parallelogram decals inside the top lids
on their stove models beginning in the late 1940’s.
Model 425 is in Suzanne Kennison’s collection,
While the unfired Model 425B is in Greg Rubin’s collection. Borrowed from the Terry Marsh Collection Click image for larger version - Name: EEE3A7B8-0897-41F9-B23F-21B7F2C31789.jpeg, Views: 1033, Size: 37.97 KB

This is probably the oldest unfired I'll ever find.  Early Rayo before 1905.
It became "experienced"  not long after this photo.  The 243 and the Thermos remain unfired.

Agostino. On your kook-lite, does it have any kind of bushing or washer under the burner portion to take up the slack in the top? I have a nice one, but the cook top actually sits on top of the bail and will rock back and forth quite a bit. It doesn't seem to stable to put a pot on it. Mine has the rotating vent closer, but it all sits really loose unless I use a Coleman vent nut without the shoulder at the bottom.
