I literally found this 413F a few years ago in an abandoned VW in the woods. It was missing the legs, towel rack, fuel cap, filled up with squirrel debris.  Someone had repainted everything green at one point, and then some blue splotches to cover up scorch marks.

These stoves are pretty bullet proof.  It did not take much work at all to get her up and running, and it has been my primary stove at my rural property for that last three years.  I decided to make it just a little bit pretty.  I no longer go into hardware stores to by rattlecans, so used what paint that is on hand to do so.

Not a full resto, still missing legs and towel rack.  But its prettier that it use to be.   Gonna put a yellow House of EL symbol decal on the lid, then tell everybody the PO was Clark Kent.

I like it! What a cool story finding it in an abandon car. I have a 413E coming up on my list for a clean up. Happy cooking!
Ken.
Looking for Bday lanterns, 10/83, 11/84 and 10/2011.

As far as I know it is still there.  Early 70s squareback, stripped down to a hulk.  Landowners was a family friend, said go ahead and take the stove.

Sounds like The Godfather.  Leave the car (the gun).  Take the stove (the canoli).
