The one one the right is a  730. What models could the one on the left be? A 750? Any other possibilities it might be?

The one on the left could be a 735 or a 750/750X. I'm not sure of other model numbers with glass.

I picked up the two Perfections today. The glass cleaned up well on the one. I find no model numbers anywhere on the one with the glass.20200115_161554.jpg
The seller remembered that he had an empty shell of a 750(?) that he threw in. 20200115_162820.jpg

The one on the left may have in very small letters 735 about an inch above the glass in a flat spot of metal. That 750 you have looks beautiful. Very lucky you,

No, since I already have a nice 750, 20200109_145555.jpg
I will save the parts for later and restore the two complete units. Both are pretty solid with just surface rust, clean inside. Both appear to have been black. Now that I'm hooked I'll keep picking up Perfection, and probably competitors, heaters, but I hope to find one with "feet" eventually. I think they're cool.

Thanks, I will look again for the flat spot with model numbers. I want to know all there is to know about these heaters but that might take a few weeks, huh?

A friend and I went to the local Thursday morning flea market this morning and I got my wish for a Perfection with feet and got an early 750(?) with a brass tank and a fuel gauge with needle. 20200116_153330.jpg 20200116_153702.jpg
The one with feet/legs, (what should I call them?)  is a model 510. I would really like to restore it  but it will require some work. The tank has some pin holes in it that I hope I can solder. 20200116_153347.jpg

Hard to tell as they didn't date them. You have to look at advertising and see if there is a year on it.

Have you seen this.

The model number of some Perfections, like the 750, are stamped on the hinge.  You might want to look there.

The one on the right might be a later 525, the 525M, I think they called it.

No, the one on the right  in my first pic is a 730 and the in pic from earlier today the one on the right is a 510. The one on the left in the first pic is the unidentified one. I will check the hinge for a model number. Thanks.

If it is a 735  at least it isn't a duplicate of one I already have.

I said I would probably buy other/competitor heaters but after reading up on them they will have to really be something special that really catches my eye, I think. I'll probably stick to Perfections.

About the holes - what QuickCal said - JB Weld works fine. Be sure to scuff up the area to be patched first.

To repair the fount, I would remove the rust with Evaporust, rinse and dry; then tape over the holes and use POR 15 tank sealer. Then remove the tape.

Well so much for buying only Perfection heaters. This morning I found this Crusader heater. It has a sticker that reads Made in England. The grille/guard is obviously missing from the front. I might be able to recreate one if I can find a picture of one. I don't know if I have everything else or not. See what you all think. 20200117_123813.jpg  20200117_123850.jpg  20200117_123926.jpg back side 20200117_124051.jpg "jug" bottom20200117_124119.jpg  20200117_124157.jpg  20200117_124301.jpg

I bought another 730 today for $7. It's complete but rusty. he seller had 12 until recently when someone bought the other 11. He overlooked this one or it would have been included. The other deal also included a box full of wicks and extra NOS parts. 20200118_145409.jpg Today's find.

I found one just like this:

[20200118_145409]

at a yard sale this summer. Gal was asking $275 for it, and got real hot around the collar when I offered $15. She yelled at me about how much these go for on E-bay. The rust-bucket stayed right where it was.

It was the only complete Perfection I've seen in the wild. You're a lucky hunter!
It's priceless until someone puts a price on it.
