Recently picked this one up from @arryk. Needed a repaint in my eyes (sorry patina lovers) I borrowed some pictures from Arryks classified ad.

Waiting on a decal, but thought it looked pretty fancy as is, so I posted it anyhow. Thanks again Arryk. Thanks for looking and have a nice evening.

Great job. I agree sometimes a repaint is necessary. Looks nice and bright too.

I dunno, Toby. Some of that was a little beyond patina. It looks way better now! I bet if LB could see it looking this good again you’d get another 👍🏻

Toby, I just found a globe logo like yours on a 1947 220D. Notice it has no underline. Check out my post on the different variations. Might be rare. Also would you mind if I use the globe photo in my single mantle globe reference, when I get around to it. Gar

Your welcome to use it, please note this is not original to this lantern or the one I borrowed it from. I believe I got this off of a 242C but I would not bet on it being original either... Looking through all my other sunrise globes I believe I have a 228D as well without the underline. I can get you a photo if needed

Thanks Toby, That would fit with the timeline I am thinking about... 228D and 242C... both 1947 perhaps.
