First I found a Rayo conversion with a etched shade on it for next to nothing. Then I found a hob nail shade on a fake wick lamp also cheap. Then what appears to be a possible mountain military cook set? Then turned the corner and found this Sears three burner. It’s a 0/64. For 30 why not I definitely don’t need a forth 3 burner but with only some surface rust and needing a new cap seal I couldn’t help myself. Then my second cousins wife in a rams cheerleader calendar lol. I didn’t buy the calendar lol.97A856AF-7218-499A-9236-0FA1E5BB128E.jpeg  0A75244B-184D-4A66-AF85-3A1D1E214777.jpeg  D11AC60D-43C7-4050-8D4E-F70F97BCE609.jpeg  2F751582-1997-4BF9-AE0B-A9A2AD6159EB.jpeg

Close, not “0” but “O” 64 for October. After 9 they stamped O, N, or D for the last three months of the year.

Those were pretty common camp cook sets back in the day. Outfitters would have several in their chuck boxes. Ive seen many at yard and estate sales, but didn't need one.

I'm looking for one of the really big outfitter's sets. I need a 12" dia. pot with lid to use as a case for one of my 500s.

Good scores!
It's priceless until someone puts a price on it.

Nice finds, especially the perky double burner.

The Wear-Ever cook kits were made for official Boy Scout use, and marked as such, and also for the general public.  While the nesting features gave you lots of options for a small footprint, the use fell a bit short.  As said, the aluminum cups would scorch your lips, the skillets could scramble eggs that only half would ever come off the surface leaving a 1/4 inch lava coating, and the plates, well, those were a guarantee to a cold dinner sucking all the heat out of anything that was placed on them.  Most troops/users used a paper plate on top of the aluminum ones.  The large kettle was good for boiling water for KP, but try a stew in it, and you had one burnt stuck mess.  Yes, I still have one.

Lots of companies made those cook sets.  Reynolds Aluminum, Wear-Ever, Japan...

All I've seen seem to be similar workmanship and they work well.  Some have aluminum plates that fit the flimsy paper plates well...  I just swapped a set for a fount here...

Levi,  ANY of the metal cups, aluminum, granite wear, or just tin, will burn your lips drinking hot drinks.  I got rid of mine and use a ceramic cup.
