My dads bday lantern finally came in the mail today. I was like heck yeah man. I went into the garage to start my work. It came from @gotac65 and he mostly took it apart but left the valve thing in the fount, so I throw it on the vice as I usually do, and try screwing it off. As I’m standing here cranking on this thing, I see a divot and some rust and I’m just thinking ah man, cmon. I poke at it with a screwdriver and voila we have a rust hole. 4227B8C2-4808-46FA-BA4B-4EEF8F5EAA61.jpeg

5/66. Thankfully @gotac65 sold it to me for the low low price of free so no loss, but it was my dads bday lantern so it really sucks. Anyway, the hunt for a 5/66 restarts.

Aahhhhh. Levy. People called me that when I went to school physically. Also, I was sitting here polishing the burner, and I can’t get between the burner tubes. How can you break them loose, other than heat. That’s a last resort for me.

Drop anything brass into some white vinegar, use the right container and you can drop the entire burner tube in without taking it apart. Usually after an overnight soak they will come apart easily.
