Nothing too special here, but I was needing another project, and this one will keep me busy a couple days next week hopefully.

Obviously went after the slant. Should complete my unintended 220 collection (minus the G of course)

Just picked them up real quick, tossed them in the back and rushed back home as I'm ready to take it easy this weekend Ã°Å¸ËœÂ Of course when I unloaded them in the shop I took a little closer look and found a couple surprises.
First the E had a faint sunrise globe. Getting quite the collection of those. I could see something through the Mica on the slant, could not get the nut off by hand so I peaked through a hole in the Mica

Yep you see it too... A mud dabber nest.. Oh and hopefully a pack of silkies. Looks like it will need a burner tube. What tubes fit these? Will do some closer inspection next week. Thanks for looking and thank you Doug @Sam McCord for the heads up.

My friends don’t call me “Lantern/lampie Levi”
for nothin’,if they did call me that.

Looking for bday lanterns 8/38, 8/41,
10/25, and 8/07

I don't know what you call special, but I'd been all over the slant. I've never seen one in person. And I have an "accidental" 220 collection also, only wanted a couple users, now have a nice group of specimens.

That's not a bad day either, I haven't had time to go find anything in the wild all season.

Bad day in my opinion. This came out of the kamplite and there’s a lot moreEA82B6A1-D356-4768-BFAB-9BDBE24A964B.jpeg

I'm not sure what special is either ðŸ˜ Probably something different than I already have.

I'll have to look, but I might have a burner for a slant around here somewheres. Not sure, but if I do, you can have one tube.

Thanks Timm. I may have what I need. Just need to know if anything else fits. I've got spare quicklite parts and B parts just not sure any are the same. Slept since I worked on my other slant ðŸ˜

That will clean up great and I'll bet it's running before next week. The E is a bonus with the globe. The slant's not bad either!

Why is there never enough time to do it right but always enough time to do it over?

Eh, I've seen worse run fine, get it clean, dryer out and test it you may be surprised. But above all else aways be safe, they all have a lot of age on them.

Well if you're overrun with slants you can send a couple my way. 😁 I agree though finding something new is key, and surprisingly still happens. I always thought there were green 2 mantles and red single mantles until I found a 242, Its been over ever since.

Not overrun, just not particularly fond of them. But they definitely deserve to be preserved. An important part of Coleman lantern history. Finding something new to work on won't be easy or cheap... Looking pre Air O ql or an LZ would be cool... 🤔Hmmm...
