Hey Everybody!!

Hope everyone is well.
Don't forget to wash your hands and wear a mask!

This sale started Friday so I did not have time to stop. I went finally went yesterday and there was a mass amount of stuff, spent two hours there yesterday. Three garages, barn, basement, up stairs and a main floor. Huge house and every bit of it was full!

I went back today just to see what was left after my supply run and it's only 12 blocks from my house, right down the street.

I was out in the barn poking around with my flashlight and I see the back of the box with stenciling I recognize. Pull it out and I see it was covered in dust and spider webs but never seen anything like this before on what was inside the box. I really thought it went on the exhaust for a tractor.

Barn Find:
7 Inch Coleman Chimney Crown. For 500 stoves.
"Twin Ring Flue Cap"

I think that's a... flue cap. You know, like to cap off a flue? For a furnace flue. The address is for Coleman H&V sales. I'll bet the H&V is Heating and Ventilation.
It's priceless until someone puts a price on it.

Now that Timm mentioned it  I'm not seeing "for 500 stoves" either,  is it elsewhere on the box?

They changed the grate system around a bit over time - are you trying on a Speedmaster?

Depending on the actual ID of the clamp section and if it has any flex there, it might fit on my '56 Sportsmaster 500A

I remember seeing caps similar to this on mobile homes with Coleman gas furnaces. They are low profile' Looks like it could be used as a heat drum too.

7" stovepipe is nominal. Need to measure the actual ID of the pipe.

Measurements above were from my mid-'50s 500A. My bad. I'll measure the grate on my B '47 500 tonight.

If I remember correctly, another member here (diablo45) had one on his 500 at the gathering last fall. It fit really nicely.

[Smilie5]Very nice find, Joe, that's something different!  Thanks for the link to the old thread; can't recall if I even ever saw that thread some years back.
Glad you found something unique!

I measured the grate on the '47 500 last night. 7 1/8" OD, so I'll bet that would fit.
