I just got mine and was lucky to get it.  The shipping envelope was shredded and the Post Office put it in a plastic sleeve to get it the rest of the way here.  Amazing that it all arrived unscathed and complete; The Light, the Greenbook, and 2 patches.
I be starting to read this right now!

Mine arrived a few days ago with a shredded envelope as well. The history book was damaged a bit on the cover. I'm trying to make some time to sit down and read the history book.

Im detecting a theme with the condition of delivery... must be SOME people did not opt for the shipping insurance, or the Tasmanian devil works for the shippibg company...

I was really hoping mine would arrive today. But no luck.
I'm getting worried as it always arrives in the first days and certainly before anyone in the USA for some reason...
Fingers are still crossed that it comes in the next few days, especially based on how great this issue & book sound!

This has nothing to do with the shipping company.  The envelope was too thin to ship this.  My book got damaged as well but at least everything was still in the envelope by some miracle.  Thanks to the ICCC for this treat!

Received my newsletter, the AWESOME Coleman-history book, and the two patches yesterday.

My envelope also arrived looking worse for wear, but the contents were pristine.

I wish Coleman had used dates on its patch, but I appreciate the company making them available to ICCC members. Anyone know if/how Coleman is making those patches available otherwise?

My envelope was in good condition when I received it in the mail, no rips or tears at all. The newsletter and book were received in good condition. It probably almost immediately went into the cargo plane.

Chris,

I worked with Coleman to get those patches made, we were trying to incorporate their design in with our patch design but their legal dept. kept kicking it back, so we opted just to have two separate patches made. I sent their design to the advertising company that the club uses and they had the patch made and Coleman paid for the patches. I only ordered enough to cover our current members. No more will be available.

Thank you for the additional info about the Coleman patch, Mr. Taylor. After reading your "president's message" in the current newsletter, I thought Coleman was distributing these anniversary patches in 2020 and generously made some available to ICCC members. Now that I know just how exclusive they are, I appreciate this unexpected bonus even more!

And I want to reiterate that I wasn't complaining about the patch in my initial post; including dates ("1900-2020") was just my immediate thought, but I appreciate all of the effort and back-n-forth it took to make it happen. Thanks again,

cjr

Here is a explanation from the printers as to why it's taking longer than normal to receive the Coleman Light...

"These were mailed Presorted Bound Printed Matter. This is the most economical way of sending a package such as this (as per the ICCC’s request). Your average cost per piece for your domestic postage was $2.26 each. The other alternative would have been Priority mail at a cost of $8.00 – $22.30 each. The order in which USPS sorts and processes is: Priority Mail Express first, Priority Mail second, 1st Class mail third, and all other mail categories after those three are completely processed, Bound Printed Matter falling last. So, as the pieces move from facility to facility, the final delivery time will get longer and longer. Hence the reason people that live near larger population centers should see their books before people that live in rural areas."

As far as the quality of the envelopes go they are the same as they have always used but the printers didn't foresee that they would be mostly destroyed from the extra handling and neither did the club. Lesson learned for the printers and for the club.

So we appreciate your patience and if in another couple of weeks you still haven't received yours than please contact the secretary John Stendahl @ icccsec@intlccc.net and he will work diligently to get you taken care of. (or at least I think he will) 😎  Yes John I know you need a raise!!!

I finally received mine today, I will admit that I haven’t read all of the previous posts. The package looked scary but not as bad as others have posted.
Everything is intact and I hope I have enough down time to read it this weekend.

Got mine yesterday a bit of damage to the envelope. But all was well inside. I was happy to see I got onboard in time to receive the Coleman patch and the book. I have read the first few chapters and it is quite interesting. The Coleman lite is a very good read as well. I would have to say money well spent🙂

I got mine today.  Worse than most pictured, all four sides of the envelope were barely holding the contents in, and the patches fell out in my lap when I pulled the envelope out of the mailbox and into the car.  These must be the luckiest bunch of ratty looking envelopes to ever deliver a package.  And a very interesting package it is!  It's nice to see something here on the shelf that resembles the ICCC patch this year too. ðŸ˜Ž
