Another peaceful, quiet night here.  Grilling up some Broadbill Swordfish (Shutome here in Hawaii).  A much overfished species elsewhere, but still commercially available here once in a while.  Mesquite charcoal, lime juice, a little butter, a Castaway IPA, and a very bright 234 burning a 50/50 kero/CF blend.  Aloha. bbq1.jpg  bbq2.jpg  bbq3.jpg  bbq4.jpg

Hmm very interesting
My friends don’t call me “Lantern Levi” for nothin’,
if they did call me that.

Looking for bday lanterns 8/38, 8/41,
10/25, and 8/07

The biggest lie I tell myself is

What a great way to unwind at the end of a hard day. A lovely peaceful setting. I can hear the waves crashing in the background..
I'm very envious of that 234 lantern.

Bill, I'm envying you.
I had some grilled sword fish with butter lemon sauce in a restaurant when sailing between the Acores islands (west of Portugal) years ago.
I'm still drooling..... [cooking]

Shutome? Sounds Japanese to me. Hawaiian should have a name with at lest forty-five syllables!

I can almost smell it from here!
It's priceless until someone puts a price on it.

It’s been a while since I’ve had swordfish, but I sure like it. Sounds like a wonderful evening.

Castaway IPA and grilled swordfish sounds like a delicious poem. The 234 looks beautiful. I've never seen one in person.
