Sorry I don't have any before pics of this one.  I had picked up a rough looking SunFlame 2572 from Steve Upham at a True North Gathering a couple years ago.  Almost all the chrome had fallen off the brass fount, which was dented on top from where the collar had pushed it inward.  It appeared the the lantern had been dropped or crushed.  A few months ago I sent the fount to be nickel plated at Bruce Kuda's Wounded Dog Workshop.  He did a great job cleaning up and plating the fount, and he was able to straighten up some of the dented area.  I was thrilled with the result, and very excited to see the SunFlame logo and mascot visible once again.

The original collars on these were treated with some kind of rather dull plating, perhaps zinc or cadmium?

I polished up the collar with some Mothers and Blue Magic, then clear coated it with VHT Gloss Clear.

Zach Whitesel had gifted me a nickel plated AGM burner frame a while back, and I figured it would be perfect for this project.

I picked up some 5" tall straight-sided Pyrex from Fred Kuntz, and decided to customize it a bit:

This is a real stunner with its original maroon vent, and it runs ever so quietly.

Thanks for looking!
