We get patches all the time you know. From Cigar Mike, from ICCC, etc. A while back I bought a black leather vest to put my patches on but I ended up not wanting to ruin it with a bunch of patches, I liked the smooth leather look. Plus it would be hard to sew on patches. What I really wanted for my patches was a light denim vest. I googled that this morning and found this one. There are cheaper vests out there but not as nice. This has concealed carry pockets in it should I decide to do that. I plan on putting the patches on the back.

I don't see enough pockets for this ol' wrench!
It's priceless until someone puts a price on it.
