Several times over the last week I’ve been using the defrost on my way to work. Despite that the AC has been humming away as we’ve had record warmth this summer.
This morning my truck thermometer showed 57 degrees. It was great sleeping weather the past two nights. Windows open nice cool breeze. I think we saw low to mid fifties overnight!
Leaves have started to fall but this may be due to the hot dry conditions this summer. I hate to say so long to summer but in Western NY it could have ended a couple of weeks ago.
For y’all dealing with extreme heat hopefully that shall pass soon.
Be safe!
Kevin

We're supposed to stay somewhere below 90 today.  Feels almost cool in the shade.  We don't have that dry heat like they have out West.  We have the sweat running down your glasses and puddles in your ears kind of heat.

Spent some time in the UP of Michigan last two weeks. Leaves are changing on the trees there. Black walnut trees here are starting to change. Cool nights and mild (high 70’s to low 80’s) days with lots of sun. I think it will be an early fall this year.

I was reading 110° on my porch, in the shade yesterday (tuesday) at 5 pm. Not so much the heat as the fact that it won't quit. No signs of fall here yet-and often it is well after Thanksgiving before it is noticeable.

100 here yesterday, 101 the day before. We had our first frost over the weekend--a friend lost much of her garden to it.

Fierce thunderstorms the last couple of evenings/nights. We had nearly continuous lighting going for a couple of hours last night, but too far away for thunder.
It's priceless until someone puts a price on it.

Supposed to be in the upper 80's again today here in Southern Colorado. Hoping for some cooling, but not going to happen this week or probably next. Looking forward to frost on the windows.

Finally decent here in south central PA; may even dip below 60 tonight.  Driving home from work was almost chilly with the windows down.
Lower 80s lately a nice change from the record July we had, lots of days over 90.

It's 49 right now on the other side of PA.  The daytime temps have cooled down into the 70s.  It was pretty hot for a while...for us anyway.

64 degrees on my back porch thermometer. Mid 80's for the high lately, the weather people finally got their predictions right for a change.

It's been a beautiful 56 degrees each morning on my way to work at 3:30 am. It's been in the 70's during the day, but it's supposed to heat up again to around 90 every day for the next 2 weeks.

Yes sir. That's the RV industry for you. Go in early, hopefully get out early as well. I've done it for nearly 25 years. The kicker is that I usually don't get to bed until around midnight or so.

It’s been dropping into the high 60s in the mornings here on the Cajun Prairie this week. Pretty rare for this time of the year. Still getting into the upper 90s during the day though.

The weather has been unseasonably mild here in NE Kansas for the past week, but its not set to last. One week doesn't make a season. I've seen plenty of upper 90's all thru September into early October, but it has been a welcome reprieve.

44F here yesterday AM, almost 80F yesterday, opened windows to warm it up inside.  I'm sure it is on the 40's again this AM.  Smoke from the fires has obliterated the sun.  Only been one early morning this summer when jogging that I didn't need gloves on.
