Some of you may have seen the posts a week and a half ago about the new guy and his first birthday Lantern. So the first hunt I go on I walk into a small shop up here in Maine and the first lantern I pick up ends up being my birthday Lantern. Guess I’m just lucky.

I decided to clean it up. I definitely made a couple of mistakes right out of the gate as you can see in the photos. But bill in Connecticut was so kind to donate some parts to get me going. I also want to thank everyone out there that passed along their knowledge when I reached out for information.

my plan is to fire it up tonight. Then it’s time to Continue the hunt.👍
Have a great day everyone.

Very well done, David, you did a great job! You definitely put some effort into that-looks like you literally squeezed out the last bit of that Kroil can, LOL! Great to have a B-day lantern...

Thanks guys.
Just need to do a quick fuel valve swap. Could not shot it off last night.. HaHa! Did some homework and followed some of the historical advice on this site. After some cleaning and additional testing looks like we need a replacement fuel valve. Should be back up and running over the weekend.

Next project will be cleaning up a 1949 220D👍

Have a good night.
