Congrats Steve.  I know you were chomping at the bit to get your fourth one.  You'll have to bring one to Gettysburg for the nighttime battlefield walk.

You will get an email invoice from Strickers with the total you were charged.  UPS will call you with a shipping cost and you will give your card info over the phone.  Be prepared that it won't be cheap.  You should get a call early in the week.

Prices were bananas on some things.  I ended up with the one thing I really wanted, the Whirlpool 237.  He took that thing to several conventions and I always remembered it.  I wanted the engineering drawings also.

good to see some of you won some items. the field walk with the infrared would be a short one, more of a stationary lantern. a 242 or 222/229 is more comfortable.

No wonder maybe why the grouped lamps/lanterns went cheap.  My checking account was getting fat anyway.

We went for the first day but couldn't stay for day 2. The Kamplite big hat pinky, one of the things I went to try to get, went for 250, which is way more than I'd pay for one lol (still looking, if anyone has one for a reasonable price)...but we did win a few things.

I had that 'baby needs a new pair of shoes' feeling about my BQ, went after and won this 318:
[IMG-20200620-0216441]  [IMG-20200620-1415069]

Beyond that, a couple parts lots, a pump, a 635, and some trade spoils (thanks again Dean):

The 635 even had about half a tank, unfortunately it was something other than camp fuel...quick empty and refill and it fired right up (fire pics later):

I watched a good portion of it yesterday. Placed a few bids, but never came close. The thrill is in the hunt for me. Seemed like there were a few deals, but certainly not on the more desired pieces. I won something last time and the packing was horrible, so no way was I going after anything breakable.

I got my invoice from Stricker"s just now.  It should have all of your purchases on it and already be paid for by the credit card you gave them.  You should get a phone call to the phone number you gave Stricker's from the UPS store.  If you get a random call from Gardner, KS, pick it up.  It is not a spam call.  The UPS store called me on both past auctions with a total for me to pay.  I gave them a card number over the phone.  It may take a day or two for them to arrange to get a total.  I do not know if they do it by estimate or package the thing up first and then get a total.

Didn't go but saw the final bids posted on ronstrickers.com. Some very nice stuff. Laughed when I saw two yellow plastic lantern cases go for about $70-$80. Then they sold a yellow case with a 220J lantern and it's price when down to $50. Lesson learned, don't put anything in your yellow lantern cases and they will be worth more.

Disclaimer I have an interest in this posting as I have two yellow, EMPTY lantern cases. The value of my Coleman collection has now gone through the roof with this information, YA-HOO ! ! !😊

Yep, buyer's premium - commonly 10%, sometimes higher. An auction add-on that you have to factor into your final cost. As a remote bidder, between the premium (all buyers pay that) and shipping, your final cost can be quite a bit higher than what you bid.

Depends on the size. The ones for 200a's have been up in price, the ones for 220/228/275 usually go for about 1/2 price of the smaller ones.

More questions.  Low bid amount on the group of 6 lamps/lanterns, why?  Not that great, stress cracked or high shipping?  Not collectible for the high rollers?
No call yet from UPS.  Longest time before items are shipped from past auctions?  Over anxious here, I won three sets of six and some desirable parts it looks like to me.

I bought a couple groups of lamps pretty cheap.  Think a few of things
  1. Cost a lot to ship, I'm local and find them interesting.
  2. Not sure what they are unless you look (and I didn't look hard - just saw the price was attractive) - and being there is the key - one picture doesn't help much!
  3. The last few collector auctions have released a LOT of lamps into the hands of collectors - so demand may be down

Those lots went cheap probably because I was drinking scotch with my neighbor.

Spoke to Dawn at the UPS store this morning. She said it could take two plus weeks to ship everything. Seems reasonable considering the volume of lots they need to ship.

She said they consolidate multiple lots to the same buyer.
