I was lucky enough to come across this hard to find lantern recently. It was fairly heavily used but I really only cleaned and polished it.  The reddish brown coated tank was clean so I merely rinsed it with Coleman fuel.  The frame and base plate was a bit rusty so it sat in Evaporust for awhile and cleaned up nicely.  As you can see in the picture a fair amount of paint came off of the fount with a soap and water cleaning. But I think it turned out well, crooked decal and all. That cleaned up nice Bart, still less than 10 known and you can feel good about running that one.

It seems the paint on everything from the F on wants to peel off the top of the fount like that.

Great score!

Congrats on the ribbed base 220H, Bart.   I try to track these.  Where and how did you run across it?  Yard sale?  Flea market?  Estate sale?  CraigsList?  Another venue?

I found one a couple months ago. Congrats. Great find. Now you will stop and check every 220F just in case.

It’s the same one I posted here on your thread Courtenay. Estate sale in Wichita.

OK.  Thanks, Bart.  I sure do wish I could edit the title to that thread.  It was one of my very first ones here and as all can see, I got the lantern model number wrong and now, it's a permanent blot on my record.
