Found these last weekend. I need to research some but I think the red is a cherry, and the Christmas lantern has a speckled top. Is that the proper vent? Speckled? Posted some pics

I’d be interested in the Sears oven if you want to part with it. Great finds by the way.

Nice finds!!  The red one is later than a “Cherry” but yes speckled is correct for the Christmas lantern.

nice finds,   I believe a Cherry would have had a decal similar to the one on the Christmas ... congrats on the Christmas,  I've yet to find one in the wild.

its not in bad shape but far from perfect. Where the frame rest sits the paint is flaking away a little. I was thinking of painting it but heard a lot of hissing and booing in the background on another site, so on the fence now

thank you for the confirmation. I thought the Christmas was a real one based on other factors, the other is a pretty bright red and was hopeful. I will have to go look at the date but I think it was either 61 or 63

thanks. The Coleman gods smiled on me this past weekend. It doesn’t happen much here. This is Coal country and everybody used to take their junk to the strip job and throw it in the pit so a lot of that stuff isn’t around to Salvage

I put a new generator on it, although it was a NOS one I found at the feed mill on the shelf with a crazy price of $2.49! So I felt it was worth it

He had a bunch of old stock there, so I loaded up at those prices. I picked up 8 lantern gens and a few stove gems. The stove ones were 7.49. All the packages looked like their age too. Sun faded and priced to go

I’ve considered putting some lanterns up for sale  such as my Christmas and BX lanterns and others. I’m not there yet, but I’m 67 and like Mike said it’s time to think about what the future holds. for now I’m having fun fettling and finding a few stoves and lanterns. My daughter says I can’t buy another thing until I sell something.

Reconsider on applying paint to that Christmas lantern.  It's yours to do what you want with it, but if you apply paint, or even a clear coat, you will seriously devalue it.   To stop rust, keep it in a climate controlled environment, like the inside of your home.  Cleanup or even polishing is OK.

Got the daughter boss telling you what to do! I say do what makes you happy. Right now for me that's looking for lanterns/stoves I don't have ðŸ˜„
