Cmon Levi, which Q is it? Let’s see I know of B and C. Does DQ count? Alright, Levi’s final answer is (drumroll please) CQ.

Thanks Greg, hopefully will get nicer, had checked for pressure leaks over the weekend and when that passed I thought I'd at least make some fire before I pull it all apart.

Levi, your close. From what I've learned this was right before the famous CQ... I'm still learning these older lamps myself...

Levi
You need to dig deep here and buy the book.
I am not sure Toby referenced the best post from Larry. His post does mention this lamp at the beginning in text but the pictures and discussion surrounds the next later lamp.
I am not sure if Toby's fount is marked, but my understanding that fount started as an M lamp which was torch light and when it was changed to Q70, quick lite burner became the Q lamp.
Notice this difference in the founts depicted in the link?
Thank you
Kevin

Thanks Kevin, I had forgotten about Greg's lamp. There is some more detail given in that post. Not a lot of Q lamp info left on the forum that I can find. Probably because of the short run and 100+ year old age ðŸ˜

Little progress being made today. I swapped fuel stems from the drilled fount Q over to the good fount, which meant I had to solder a new pickup tube to it as well... Just so I could have the original nickel handle... Still working on finding an original air tube to have a correct valve/burner assembly.. But figured it may take awhile so I just used the later valve/burner for now. Fount has several little dings and one good one which I forgot to picture, but I believe it shined up fairly good for 100+

Progress being made on the drilled fount Q as well... Small issue with dirty solder joint.. Hopefully an update coming next week. Until then, thanks for looking and have a nice weekend.

Assuming I can get the valve/burner assembly back to original would you know which shade/shades would have been original too the Q lamp? Not much info I can find on this particular lamp. Looking back on your 334 shade writeup I realized it was introduced several years later.

Toby,
The first “Q” came standard equipped with no. 307,
but you could have any shade available from Coleman at the time by paying the price difference between the two.

Effective :  July 1 1916
