Yeah, its Globe night for me...

I have a Sears Junior I picked up from Marty, and want the globe period correct, in looks at least.  I've seen these with mica and glass similar to the C 200A globes.

Mine has the ring with  the ring near the top of  the frame (or it will be post de-rust and spot welding back into place...)

So I'm guessing that this SHOULD be a Glass Bulge globe and you squeeze it past the springs and the springs hold the top of the globe?  does it use the Same Coleman 200 globe? - EDIT nope; the Coleman is to fat to fit through the ring...)

Hmm, I think a straight pyrex globe from a 242/243, works here?

A PO cut the ring at the top of one of mine to be able to fit the small bulge globe so yes, I welded mine and put the only straight mica on it I had. Need to contact Mr. Kuntz for a new one.

Those little Preway's just look sharp and are WELL built. You got a good one - which I'm sure you know by now.

Sounds like you have an L-47. That model had uprights that went through the vent and had spring-like metal(semi rings) that acted as anti-rattles for the globe. The only correct glass globe is a MacBeth/Thermo, usually with the lighting hole for that model. The bulge is slightly narrower than a Pyrex globe. If you obtain one, it is a very snug fit but it will go in the cage. The Pyrex one you would have to run the risk of bending out the upright supports and possibly breaking off the metal springs at the top. That or the globe will break.

Best bet is to get a mica globe from Fred Kuntz.

that is a later Sears number for an L47. They were not consistent with the numbers. Some were called L47S (Sears) or L47W (Wards) or L47P (Factory).
If you can't find the right globe, use a mica one. I would not recommend bending the struts to clear a Coleman globe. It kind of spoils them. They look best (IMHO) with the correct glass.
I have a 1936 Sears catalog and in 1936 Sears offered only mica. I know other suppliers had glass,  The numbers are out to lunch but one was L14GM which was an L14 that ran on gasoline and had a mica chimney. Another was L13GH which was an L13 running on gasoline with a Heat Resisting glass globe. They were not consistent with these numbers and it is confusing.
Here is an ad, which I think I got from Joe_P who is an authority on these:

Thanks Guys!

I'm getting a straight Pyrex from Fred for this one,  It won;t have the match hole, but thjs guy has a bottom frame match hole, so not that big a deal.  I need a working globe as this will be a working lantern, (not nice enough for a shelf queen...)

While that's in transit I'll  the frame  and spot weld the ring back on
