I have wanted a 200b for years, they go for crazy money though.  I got to looking at parts diagrams and realized its basically a 286/282.

I got a Amazon gift card for Christmas, so I bought a 282.

I mentioned to a Japanese friend I wanted to turn it into a 200b, he sent me this:

A few things from OCP (thanks Mike):

Toss these to the side...

Take off the original base plate...

Replace with a shiny new 200b one:

I decided to change the decal and valve wheel as well.

I thought I would rather build a 200b and hate it instead of buying one for lots of $$$ and deciding I hate it.  I like it.

I think next will be a 200b collar from Japan [smile]

Bail is on the way (Thanks Greg)

That looks really cool. I wish they would just make them like that. Looks way better this way.

Thats cool! Makes me want to run down to crappy tire and grab a 286B, and then make an OCP order. I wonder if a 200A vent would do the job...

Nope.  You need the clips on the 200B vent to hold the globe centered.  The vent sits on the top of the pancake mixing chamber.  Without the clips there is too much clearance between the vent and top of globe that the globe will just flop around.

You also need a 200B vent that has holes with grommets instead of square cut outs. The 200B bail is a bit different and fits in these holes.  There's nothing in the frame to hold the bail.
