Lost power this morning at 8:07AM, So, I fired up my 425D to brew some coffee. The stove, dated 7/66 turned 54 years old this month. McGee was there to observe the festivities. Have a great day everyone.

The funny thing is, I was planning on brewing coffee on the stove anyway, power or no power.

Yes, McGee loves those Beggin strips too. The power outage lasted about 1hr., 10 min.

So, McGee is a white dread dog?

I wish the power would go out here more often... well, no I don't. Not good for the brewery. I'll just have to go home and pretend....

Well, that was short...speaking of short, looks like McGee got his summer haircut.

Yes, McGee got a short cut, but they left the hair on top of his head and on the back of his neck, sort of like a horse mane. He's much happier that way in the summer even with the A/C.

I HATE when the power goes out in the summer. I need my AC. One thing I found for lighting tho, is to place the lantern, with reflector, on a table, outside the window. Sure, I don’t get the gentle hiss, but I get the light and no heat 😉

Good idea with the lantern by the window. Having the power out wouldn't be a worry except for not knowing when it will be restored. I could have made breakfast out there too, but I didn't want to open the door on the fridge.

Thanks. The pot is "GSI Outdoors Glacier stainless steel percolator". They come in various sizes. I think mine is the 8 cup. It's a good percolator.
