We like lots of photos on CCF and for good reason. I have always wondered if there is a preferred way of putting the captions...either above the photo or below the photo. I personally prefer the below photo as it allows you to view and read at the same time and is the way most published articles are arranged. When multiple photos are shown it's difficult to know which is which. For me anyway.
  How about you folks, preferences???

I put my caption right on top of the picture or set of pictures.
Then after the picture(s),

I’ ll skip a line and put the next caption right on top of the next picture or set of pictures.

+1. Kinda like the way you read them...top to bottom.

I like 'em on the bottom (below the pic).  That's the way they typically are in a paper publication.

Im still figuring out how to post photos. I get a message saying “photo exceeds the amount of bytes” to post it. What do all of you do to post photos?
No matter how ugly, old stuff works the best.

Are you using a laptop computer or cell phone?

I use my laptop, so I open the photo, then open the windows snipping, tool. I capture the photo and save it to my local drive. The file is always under the limit. I've seen other posts asking about this and there are a bunch of ways to do it.

I use the "Photo and Picture Resizer" resizer app on my phone. I can crop and resize the picture then I email to myself and save it on my Chrome Book.

For this site only..........

Since I take photos with my phone and I'm sure most do, I email them to myself to transfer to computer where I store them.  There is an option that pops up as to what size I want to email.  I choose "small" (there is a KB associated but don't pay attention) and that size posts here without issue.  It took a while to use this method but is way easier that any of the editors.  And I have been editing photos on a computer for 25 years.
