I've been thinking that 1/'51 seems to show up more than any other date among US nickel 200s posted here. Let's see if that's true. Post the date of your nickel 200, and preferably a picture.

I'll start with my 2 1/'51s.

The elusive 4/51 USA nickel 200. Just like a 1/51 Christmas. Interesting how the 4/51 US nickel 200 has the wide fount stamp and embossed collar as the Canadian 200's have. Whereas the 4/51 Christmas still retained the smaller fount stamp and a stamped collar.

EDIT: I have had 2 US nickel 200's. 12/50 and 1/51 I believe.

Sorry folks. Between fettling a nice '49 228D, getting stuff packed for some of you all, and fixing a few things around the brewery, I've been a bit busy today. Hopefully, I'll get to tabulating this valuable data soon!

Great lanterns, y'all!

Mine's 1/51.  One of the first pieces I picked up and restored when I started collecting.  So...it's been sitting on the shelf, collecting dust for a lot of years now.  This thread is motivating me to shine it up!

Great data, folks. I'm assuming that none of you actually went looking for a 1/'51, so there should be no bias--if there were a bias, it should be the other way. I'll tabulate this at some point in the near future, but for now, yep, there are one hell of a lot more 1/'51s out there than any other date.

And at the same time, Coleman was making the 1/'51 Christmas... which are about as common as hen's teeth.
