First, Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays to all who celebrate them.
I was wondering if there was a way to date vintage Optimus stoves outside of build/machining characteristics? I got an old Optimus 80 for Christmas and I'm curious about the year it was made. Thanks in advance.

You are correct as far as I know.  A good source if not aware is Classic Camp Stoves.  Reference Gallery and Library.  A couple of my Optimus 96's are quite different.  One is from the 20's I believe.

That's what I was afraid of, lol. I know it's post 72 because of the nubs on the bottom of the case but really, that's all I know. I haven't found a solid source of info yet so that should definitely help. Thanks!
