Just got home, took a loop down through Carthage to see a lawyer (guardianship stuff) over to the Joplin court house (same stuff), lunch with my brother, his wife and some of their grandkids...my old arse is draggin..

K.. yes John, a new to me 2019 Toyota Tacoma 4 door, 4X4

I took a quick look on Terry's site outside the antique store and figure with the big holes it's the Yale derivative. I'll be perusing the book whilst sipping a bourbon and branch to see if my assumption is correct.

A quick pre-clean up look shows no optional cracks so yeah..

I'm doing a Happy Shuffle

Edited to add it has the single row of large holes as in the drawing on page 313 and on Terry's site

The guide shows in it’s only description of the Air O Lantern collar on 319, and 316 too, Yale did have the single row of holes, and Coleman did too on both early 316 and 319.

Another myth is if there is no nickel plate that it’s a Yale, Coleman marketed through certain secondary jobbers burnished and lacquered Arcs that were then distributed by them to third party retailers and the public from 1916-1920.

Great find!  So happy you got it!
Maybe find a music shop that repairs and restores dents out of tubas, trumpets etc.  Those craftsmen are masters at making a dented up horn look like NOS.  Just a thought if you want to restore it, since you have a bit of margin on the acquisition price!  Or, just enjoy it for what it is, as is.  Again, great find and as others have said, that's what keeps you going, as Mel Fisher said, "....tomorrow's the day!"
