Was browsing my favorite antique mall and spotted what looked like a 327 back in a corner with a bunch of electrical Wires sticking out and an light bulb hanging down.

What it turned out to be was an Air-O-Lite QL .  To my joy, the PO had only shoved a couple of wires down from the top.  In fact, what he did was remove the mixing chamber and use it with the vent stud to suspend the light.  No holes, no damage, just missing some parts which I believe I have in the parts bin.  The fount looks clean, the nickel outstanding, even the filler cap nut is pristine. The price for adoption was minimal so it came home with me.

Nice save, only problem is now the seller is motivated to electrocute more of them .
Kind of a double edged sword thing.

Good for you, Marty, nice that you got it and can restore it to its proper configuration.  Please share a picture or two when you have it working again.

not this seller.  He (She?) is a picker of the first order and has a good eye and sells cheap.  I grantee he found this in a garage sale or CL and flipped it.  They have good taste in junk and I have bought quite a few things from them including a decent 228B.  One of the first booths I go to in this mall as they turn over things quick.  A lot of booths have the same things every time I walk in. .  Funny thing was I missed it the first time but circled back and spotted it. Meant to be.
