Found this stove in aluminum stove container.  Appears to have a joystick?  Had to leave before studying in detail.  Can go back anytime.

Any ideas?

Yep m1942 or mountain stove, either will get you info on here. I love mine and as toby said one of the best looking, military stoves. I love mine.
