on the bottom of 2 of my 530 tanks in the middle are what seem to be factory nipple like bulges, has anyone else noticed this.

Someone screwed the valve in too far and the FA tube bottomed out. Not factory!

For goodness sakes, fuel it up and pump it up.  If it leaks, it's unsafe.

Steve, you've fettled a bunch, and you know that the IMPORTANT thing is to make sure any fount with CF in it does not leak.  You know how to do the dunk test (I think), and just pressurizing a fount and setting it on something like a piece of wood will soon show leaks, as there will be a puddle.
A bulge on the bottom of a fount is nothing to be concerned about if it doesn't leak.  It's really simple like that...

I have been wondering about this issue I did a search about 'pressure testing' and came up with a few things. I have a few rusty fonts and one I'm working on now is pretty rusty. I am going to make a schrader  cap  and pump it up to about 75psi with water in it to see what happens.  Is there anyone with any real experience with pressure vessels in here?

BTW- I saw nipples and had to come in and see what's going on.

Pithy saying wanted- will pay cash for wit.

Much past about 60 and you may deform the bottom?  I've used up  to 60 to pop dents out with hot water inside.
