The only difference I see from the few examples online is the cleaning lever has no loop. The tail extends through a slot in the frame base.
Hopefully the generator is complete. Pump cup is as hard as a rock!

Lanterns with those sliding lighting openings are neat.  I need more.

I’ve dug deep looking for guidance on disassembling this lantern. Not the easiest lantern to work on. What I found appeared to be the same frustration I am currently experiencing.
Knowing the delicate nature of the eccentric I’m going slow. Anyone have any experience in this area?
I have the vent off 😎 and heat reflector removed and I am stumped on how to remove the burner frame.
Thank you!

It has a pip and a leather. What else can go wrong?
I’m pretty sure I have a couple of these pumps!

The pump on the right is off a franken, despite the length and appearance shares the same threads and appears to be interchangeable? Perhaps it’s a turner style pump?
Thank you

I don't recall ever seeing that slot in the bottom of the frame to operate the lever. Is there enough space to spin the lever.
Your pump sure does look like a Turner design.

It will not rotate completely, I was under the impression this style of tip cleaner doesn’t fully rotate? Was thinking if it were to fully rotate it indicates it’s broken or missing parts?
Thank you

I have one of these model 8 lanterns also. I have not even began to tear into it, I'm great at breaking bolts and stripping threads and hesitate on things this old and rare. These are really uncommon, apparently the last models nulite made before folding, terry marsh still is asking for more images from those that have them on his site. I thought it was there, but maybe somewhere else, that said there were fewer than 10 known. But when I found mine there was also one on ebay.

Yes the generator only turns 180 or maybe less, there is normally a wire hanging down to control it.
It also looks like every part has to be dismantled working down to get it apart. I took screen shots from that thread you posted, I'll try to keep them in order.
Good luck and great find.
These are from the original post

And finally and image of the guys from the generator Screenshot_20200623-090603_Samsung Internet_copy_108x192.jpg
Hope this helps, I really want to get mine going as I'm not into having them for decoration, but I'm waiting to make sure I don't bugger up too much. Need more practice and patience.
Mike
I just realized how small I made these when I reduced them, I can redo them if you need them to be clearer.

I was chatting with Terry on an unrelated topic and he mentioned his research on this model is complete. The lever on mine appears to be the same as a lamp. Other examples of this style on a lantern have been found.

I have no interest in this if it’s not running but knowing the rarity I will take this fettle slow. It needs to be cleaned I’ll keep the disassembly to the absolute minimum. All parts have been hit with penetrating fluid. Note the burner tube is extremely soft. It appears I will need to replace it. It came slightly buggered up and I completed that task!

As much as I abhor people complaining about engineers making products too complicated this lantern is a perfect example of this.

Thank you!
Kevin
