C9F6B24B-A499-48B0-89C3-899D7FA2BF5F.jpeg Hello everyone! I’m recently retired from the Navy after 24 years and now have a little free time on my hands. I just started collecting Coleman Lanterns and only have a few Lanterns so if anyone has any extra ones to sell let me know what you have. I’m looking for nice examples of the hard to find models. Here are my first 2 lanterns. I have a 1963 200A and a 1958 220E. Both are pretty clean but I’m looking for a better collar for my 220E. Mine has a little rust on it. Thanks for reading. Here is a photo.

Thanks again everyone! If there are any Vietnam River Rats out there, please contact me. I’m too young for Vietnam but was a small boat guy and now a member of The Gamewardens of Vietnam, Past and Present - NW Chapter. It’s a very active group and we have 2 operational Vietnam era PBRs. Always looking for new members.

Another welcome from Colorado. Two lanterns, or in my case a lantern and a single-burner stove, is pretty much how the madness begins! Are you only looking for lanterns? Everyone seems to have a favorite, so you might want to be a little more specific with your request. Have fun and enjoy the hunt!

To get started, try searching on the forum for:
427
228
Quicklite
MilSpec
202 Professional
237 (these are kero)
275 (with fluted globe)
222
And see what you like. You can always branch out to Thermos, Sears, Preway, AGM, Wards, Tilley, Aida and Petromax. Most people suggest building shelves now! Tell your friends neighbors and they'll look for you, too.

Stovie-Steve,
Thanks for the pointers and suggestions! I’ll check out the list you shared. For now I’m mainly interested in lanterns and the small stoves. I’m still figuring out what direction to take my collection. As a collector of other things I usually go for quality rare items rather than complete collections so I’ve been looking for quality items or restoration projects. I’m currently looking for a nice 427 and would love to find a lantern projector of any kind. However, as I search for those I seem to find other lanterns in the mean time..... yes, I’m organizing my shed now getting it ready for more lamps to come.

I’m working on restoring this Canadian 3277070BB9F-21FF-4792-A301-ECE051BE9B23.jpeg
