The 533 arrived yesterday from Kohl's and I've not known founts can be stamped with a future date? Currently month of June, but stamped July 2020. The burner assembly is stamped April 2020. Is this a known thing? Stove was shipped from Wichita, KS photo_2020-06-27_19-16-56.jpg

That's an expiration date. It won't light in August.

Take it to the post office and see if they will rubber stamp the date/postmark on the bottom.  That would be cool to show.

Didn't know Kohl's sold stoves.

That’s crazy!  Did it come wrapped in newspaper with next month’s power ball numbers?

Maybe it is a stove from the future that time traveled back to warn us about something bad. Like a Coleman fuel shortage. I mean that’s the only way 2020 could get worse 😂

Hey Warren! I was the guy who sent you the message on eBay about paint restoration😂

Yeah Kohl’s website stocks these stoves.

Haha exactly. I couldn’t get the month, but at least I got the year in one of my stoves. I digress. There’s a chance it may have come straight from the factory seeing the shipment origin as being Wichita. Maybe a pre-stamp before hitting retailers. I can be wrong.

I second getting it stamped at the post office!  Also, after studying the picture a bit, it does seem like the “7” is stamped far deeper than any other the digits.  It could be nothing, but it also could be an indication of an error.  So this could be an “error stove” just how there are “error coins” from the US mint.

That’s definitely odd. Maybe it’s a badly stamped upside down 4

Yeah I called in and they don’t have anything that would postmark without it being shipped out and it’s not even ink. It’s either that or an adhesive stamp.

You oughta display it next to a vintage Krups Coffee grinder!  Sometimes the dates will confuse a guy.  I have a 228C that has January 1948 stamp that I'm calling the worlds youngest 228C, and a 425 stove with 2 different dates on the tabs,
