I had completely sworn off stoves and promised myself not to cave in at the first pretty burner. I made it a few years and then I spotted this one at a small estate sale. I'm a sucker for nickel plating, just couldn't leave it behind. I hope I'm not looking over the edge of the slippery slope again.

Got one almost the same, mines a 3F, late 1930’s.  It is my go to camping stove.  You couldn’t pass that one up

Old stoves that are in good shape like that deserve to be rescued.

That doesn't make you a stovie.

I usually only buy single burner stoves and leave the suitcases behind, but I've never found one like that. That definitely would've been an exception to the rule. Awesome find.

I would've picked that up too, Sk, but never any more modern, stamped burner assembly suitcase stoves.

Here is my 3H. It was green originally, but someone painted it silver with a brush... YUK! When I painted it hammer-tone dark bronze I though it was a 3F and some were brown. The legs on it were painted, which I believe makes it 1937 and the nickel legs were 1936. Yours is cool, as it is original with a nice decal. Mine had no hint of any decal, just remnants of the Sunshine logo on the tank. Great stove. Gar

Stormking, I've had it for about 25 years. It was in a shed at a place I lived at, so I got it for free. I ran it on propane till about 2 years ago when I decided to get the tank working and rebuild it. Here it is on Drugs (propane)! Have to be careful not to melt anything. Gar

Stormking, here is a close-up of the tank where the paint is worn off and you can see the brass alloy Everdur underneath. Since mine is not original, I thought about stripping the paint and polishing it and then making an Everdur stencil to paint the logo back on. Might look really nice.

My fuel valve body is nickel plated, is yours? If you don't already know these have a larger check valve that is the same on 220 and 220B lanterns. OCP has repros. 216-538. Mine was in good shape.
