Yours is mid 1917 to 1918 “CQ,”
Before mid 1917 mixing chamber had a flat bottom and a set screw to secure air tube. At that time the lamp was still designated as a “Q” lamp with a C fount.

Thank you all, now to see if I can try to get the dents out, if not, I'll make it a beater or take it apart and throw it in the parts bin and get rid of the fount. Thank you again

Dents? What dents? That's over a century old--those are age spots!

I'll gladly take that fount off your hands if it holds pressure.
It's priceless until someone puts a price on it.

If it holds pressure, I might use it for something in the back yard. Dont know yet.

Very early CQ, please contact me if you part it out as I would like the burner, valve and filler cap.

There's no shame in having a few dents.  It's a complete historical piece.  When it's polished up and making light you'll never notice the dents.

Wonderful old lamps and a real joy to clean up.  Yours looks like it'll polish up just fine.

That CQ is a keeper! Easier shade to find too, if your going for accuracy!
I frighten easily!

My current shade is Coleman!!

To me a lamp without a shade is creepy!

I think this no-weld shade holder would be correct for the early CQ.

Well, I decided to hold on to it for now, I will be pressure testing it tonight. I've been turning into a lampe somewhat lately. Like I have the room, hahahaha
