Yeah Steve there's a learning curve with these too. This one was always smoking, and then I learned you must have a real fuel cap too... It is running so good now!
Next trick is to learn wick trimming......

There were always be a place in my heart for Wick lanterns , that's how I got started in this endeavor. As for the wick trimming I prefer a perfect flat cut

I’ve got a handful of wick lanterns that I acquired much by accident. Once in awhile I’ll fire them for a more quite less light night but I’m not a collector of them.
