I had posted in just bull that had the homemade box and original receipt. From 10/9/1940. Anyway the inside was gummed up pretty good but cleaned out well. The valve was the most stuck I have seen. So I replaced the packing and also the cap gasket. Everything else was stander cleaning. The fount polished up decent but it dose have spots. But for 80 years old I am happy as ever. I did a test burn without mantles. All was well so I gave it nice set of course weave silk- lite’s. Still going to put the original  Straight line Coleman globe and reflector back like it came. It is a retina burner with the silky’s so I throttled it down a bit with the tip cleaner to get a better pic. Sorry about the pictures being out of order don’t really know why it does that. Thanks for looking

Respectfully done, Lee. And, that’s an awesome one to have in your collection. Congrats on getting it up and running again! I’d like to imagine that Mr. Caldwell is looking down with a big smile.

Thanks everyone. I like to think he would be proud of how well it survived. After all his efforts are why it still exists. It was probably my most enjoyable fettle I have done.

Well I couldn’t resist lighting it up with the original globe and reflector. I will probably use it with a red letter Pyrex. In the future. Because I cannot bare the thought of putting  a MIC on it. A28792E7-6292-44ED-A7EF-04BAA8286A8D.jpeg

There’s something about seeing that logo lit up; it just looks real good.

Thanks. I figured out if I hold my phone camera close for some reason the light is less intense. Who knew 🤔. They make nice pictures of globes and mantles though.
