Hey y'all!
I was happy to find a 1947 228D Big Hat (on left) in an antique shop for a good price on a recent trip. Visited an old friend that evening and showed it to him... He laughed and asked "Want another one?" lol! We then proceeded out to his barn where he gave me this Model 2200 (on right) covered in dust and dirt dauber nests!  Good friend to have!
Am I correct in dating it as an October 1945?

Looks right to me Layne. That appears to be a 220C
