Thank you all so much.  Dad was a Navy vet, a retired state trooper and finished his working career at Ohio State University.  He dealt with Parkinson's disease since his late 50's and managed to get through and get along despite the limitations the disease presented.  He knew I collected white gas lanterns etc and was fairly curious as to why I would take his old perfectly working electrified Aladdin lamp and convert it back to kerosene. LOL.

He was born in 1935. Almost his birth year,  1934 Aladdin Cathedral lamp
