I am putting the kayak into the Mississippi again.    Last year I went from the source at Lake Itasca and stopped in North metro.  This time will take off from the metro and go to Winona, maybe a week or so.  Originally I had planned to do another 500 miles in June, but then all the craziness happened, pandemics and rioting.  I would not have felt good about leaving the boss alone with the world as weird as it is.  So a lot shorter trip this time, no resupply stops on the way.  I'm sure it will be a very different trip than last year.  No more DNR designated campsites after Lock2.  I will stop for a night at my brothers place in Stockholm, Wisconsin.
Anyway I'm heading out tomorrow after breakfast, and the boss will drive down to Winona to pick me up.  I'm bringing a marine band radio to get through the locks.  I'll post some pictures when I get back
Wish me luck.
Let me know when you get about 80 miles south of St. Louis.  I will watch for you then.  ðŸ˜  Good luck on your journey, Willy.

Looking for 6-56 and 6-58 Birthday lanterns.
There's been an alarming increase in the number of things I know nothing about.
That sounds like fun! Best of luck to you. I’m looking forward to hearing about the trip, upon your return.
Sounds like an incredible trip for sure, safe travels.
Looking for Bday lanterns, 10/83, 11/84 and 10/2011.

Well I'm still alive.  Got back last night.  Will post some pictures and comments in a bit.  Lotsa fun.
