Made an offer on this stove earlier today, and the seller accepted it. Looks to be in good shape. Looking forward to getting it in. Ad photos, not my own:

VERY nice, clean stove! Good to have an "other" brand in the collection; I have one of those, too.  It's my first and only two-burner stove with cast iron burners.

That ones in great shape!
Mine aren’t as nice. They are great runners and built heavy-duty.

Thanks guys. Always wanted a stove with the old style round tank.

That is clean. Looks like the guy took care of his stuff!

THose fat generators take a while to heat up, so keep pumping.

When pumping, avoid slamming the threads of pump rod down against threads in check valve. Is easy to bugger up the threads. Methinks this is why Coleman came up with the separate air stem.

He sure did. I notice a little rust/pitting on the embossed plate/heat shield, and rust on the bottom of the case, under the grate, about it.

My J.C.Higgins lantern has the same pump. I use my fingers as a stop so it doesn't go all the way down. I learned that one early on pumping it up. Piss poor design really.

That sure is pretty! It is hard to find old stoves in that condition, a gem of a find!

Thanks man. Nobody bid on it, and the seller relisted it. I offered $35 for it, and he took it. 👍

Finding a good one "under the radar" is always fun.  I got both my #3's that way...

Wow! Nice condition!

Rather than Coleman designing the air stem to avoid the problems of the various AGM designs, I think Coleman held the patent and AGM had to figure out something else that worked. Later, after the Coleman patents expired, AGM and others started just using the Coleman designs for the Instant-lighting circuit and the pump.

While the LCS can burn regular gas, don't. It will still clog up that fat gen eventually, and I have no idea how to clean that can.
It's priceless until someone puts a price on it.

Thanks guys, appreciate it. I've read many times over the years to use just CF, that RUG clogs everything up.

A little clogged, indeed.

Finally got around to firing this thing up for the 1st time. I know, I know, about time, haha. Fueled it up, and pumped it up.

Didn't take long to turn blue:

Works like a champ, and I didn't have to do anything to it, beside oil up the pump cup. Look forward to using it.
